Flexible and Productive

In the production lines for wheel carrier and front/rear axles, in addition to the pure cutting processes, there are also several assembly and testing operations that are performed on highly automated AMT systems. We are one of the leading providers for these systems many years of experience.

Wheel Carrier (Corner Module) for Front / Rear Axle

Assembly line for the assembly of wheel carriers for the front axle and rear axle incorporates the following processes:

  • The steering knuckles are placed on a flexible and interchangeable assembly carriage
  • Manually load and assemble strut link and tie bar to the steering knuckles
  • Manually load and assemble heat shield
  • Load and assemble wheel hub
  • Manually load and assemble brake disc
  • Manually load and assemble brake caliper
  • Function test of parking brake
  • Manually unload assembled wheel carrier into work piece specific, transport dunnage
  • The quality data for each bolt tightening operation is captured and recorded

Axle Assembly

Axle assembly line for the complete front axle and rear axle incorporating the following processes:

  • The axle sub frames are placed onto work piece pallets and transported by automation to the individual assembly operations
  • All components (cross and trailing arms, lower and upper control arms, track control bars, wheel carrier modules front and rear, with struts and drive shafts) are manually connected to the axle sub frame
  • Fully automatic assembly of the individual component in multiple assembly stations
  • The quality data for each bolt tightening operation is captured and recorded

Pre-assembly – Drive Shafts

Assembly station to assembly drive shafts incorporates the following processes:

  • The two drive shafts are manually loaded to the top and bottom of the fixture and are clamped in the assembly station
  • The union nut is manually loaded and hand started in the thread
  • Automatic tightening of the union nut, quality data is captured and recorded
  • Manually unload assembled drive shaft and load into the work piece specific, transport dunnage
